How to use Files

Browse, download, and manage files in S3 buckets and NAS shares.

Browsing

  • S3 / NAS tabs on the Home page pick which storage to browse. Click a source to open it.
  • 📁 Folder rows open that folder. ↩ .. goes up one level. Use the breadcrumb to jump back.
  • 📄 File names are download links. Click to download.
  • Click the Name / Size / Modified headers to sort.

Uploading (S3 only)

  • Upload file uploads a single file into the current folder.
  • make public (checkbox next to Upload): when checked, the uploaded file is readable by anyone with the link, no login needed (for build processes that fetch without auth). Unchecked = private (default).
  • Uploading a file with a name that already exists overwrites it, but the previous version is automatically backed up first (kept ~1 year).

Organizing (S3 only)

  • New folder creates an empty folder in the current location.
  • ✕ on a file row deletes that file (asks first).
  • ✕ on a folder row deletes it only if it is empty.

Public vs private files (S3 only)

  • 🌐 Globe = file is public (anyone with the link can read it).
  • 🔒 Padlock = file is private (requires login / a signed link).
  • Click the icon to switch between public and private.
  • A greyed padlock means that source does not allow public files.

NAS shares

  • NAS sources are read-only: you can browse and download, but not upload, delete, or change visibility.
